I jacked up the car for the first time the other day to change the rear wheels. I didn't use jack stands as I was only doing a quick wheel change and wasn't getting underneath the car. So I jacked one side up replaced wheel and then did the same to the other side.
When I placed the car back on it's wheels I noticed that my rear ride height had increased. I bounced the car a few times to see if it would settle, but it didn't. I haven't driven it yet, but is this normal? Should it settle back down once I drive it?

Yes, it's normal. You have to roll the car a little and the suspension will settle back. When you lowered it back down the tires had nowhere ot go. Moving it a little forward or back allows it to sqeegee back into position.

Cool. Figured that was it. I didn't want to have to jump into reindexing already. I'm waiting until the summer to do that.
Weird though. I don't remember my 944 doing that. It has the same torsion bar set up as the 911.

i dont know man, it looks like you messed something up. J/K it def is normal for some shocks not to return to their position until normal driving forces are impose themselves on your car's ***.

Yup, as others said, it'll settle when driven. As a side note and a bit OT, this is exactly what I noticed after doing up my suspension: that bouncing on it or even rolling the car around is NOT enough to settle the suspension and give one an accurate car height. You HAVE to drive it, if even for a couple of blocks, to settle the suspension. A real nuissance when setting ride height as you have to tighten everything up, drive it around, re-measure heights, then loosen things up to make adjustments, then tighten up everything....
