Does an M491 Carrera have turbo torsion bars?
some people have said they do, others no, can anyone tell me?
I would image they dont due to the less weight of the 3.2 but not sure.
One more question apart from the 3.3 turbo and gearbox is there any other difference between an M491 and a 930. I realise the boost gauge in the tacho is another difference and maybe the turbo script in the carpet of the rear seats, but is that really it?
cheers guys!

Three Wheelin'
Spence--by the way, I must say that I absolutely love your car. The fat rear with no whale tail is absolutely gorgeous, and your 3.2 is the best looking one I've seen, ever. I recently upgraded my car with Turbo Tie rods up front as mine were shot, so I know that the turbo tie rods were not standard in the 491. As far as I know the suspension, brakes, wheels, and body are shared between the turbo and the M491. Many other people will chime in but that's what I've got.

Hey thanks a lot Cole! You just made my morning, I'm very happy with it, I have been resisting the temptation to put the spoiler on but I will change the wheel centres to black I think, even though they are original I like the traditional look.
Did the tie tods make an improvement? Is there any pics of your car on this board?
cheers

I am about 90% sure that you are on the mark. The body was prepared wholly as a "Turbo" body,--all that differentiates it would be the running gear, and a few incidentals, e.g., what you have pointed out. All in all, a very nice ride,--but without turbo lag!

The M491 cars have the same torsion bars as the 930. Everything in the suspension, except tie-rods (strangely enough), is identical.
The rest is obvious (engine-gearbox, shifter, tach, badging),...
