Default Front wheels lurch in tight turns

My '86 targa has a weird lurch when I do tight radius turns, usually very slow. I have felt this lurch at higher speeds as well in sharp turns. A friend who posts here on rennlist says it is some sort of bump steer, where the camber is not aligned and the wheel is actually skipping on the pavement.

My mechanic said it might be due to some loose in the front end. The tires don't rub and the wheels are on tight. Anyone else experience this?
