No Worries Doug,
The barn find or unsuspecting dealer is a fantasy of all of us, little tip though, never, ever talk about it on Rennlist until you have seen it yourself, what if it were real, there might have been 40 of us there...Always snag the car first if it is real then talk about it... Cool... It was probably a great drive there and back though...

OK guys the pictures are up...tell me what is wrong with this car other than the front air dam? Hmm, feed the kids, or buy another Porsche? The Porsche is less money.
Thanks guys for talking me down off the bridge, I would buy this car if it wasn't for my complete distrust of dealers. and the desire for "bone stock"

I don't see anything wrong with the car from the photos listed. The front air dam is correct for that model and year. The only thing that doesn't fit in is the rear exhaust. That car, being a 3.2 Carrera, only has the single exhaust out to the left rear. Someone changed it out to a turbo exhaust,--with quads. As a Carrera, it correctly has the 5-speed gear box.

I have always wanted on of those since they first came out. Unfortunatly (or thankfully) the garage is already full! That thing is a beauty at least from the pictures.

I know i am ratling on about this slant nose , but it is my favorite and I am beginning to think it is real. the broker that has it says it passed a 101 point inspection at his local porsce dealer. he says the dealer said it is a real factory slant. I called my local porsche dealer and he says it is a strong possability, but he would have to use the computer in the service department to see all the option codes. I just want it to go to a good home. mine would do, but what to do with the kids, fish, corals, wife, maid, and all the palm trees. It is pure miami vice sexy. almost too sexy with its top down.

In profile I never liked the slope nosed 930s. They were visually unbalanced. But what you have here is a very high optioned car going for nothing.

IT'S A FAKE.
I just got the call from Walter's Porsche of Riverside and there is no 505 on the original bill of sale. No rockers, no slant nose, no wide body or brake ducts, no nothing. It was a base model no frills cab that had all its work done well after the fact. great re-work, but not a collectable. I knew when I saw the fit of the fog lights...they looked like they were on the wrong side. Some day I'll spot it from a mile away, this one had me going.
thanks guys for talking me down off the bridge. I almost went and looked at it again.
