I am looking at picking up a bumber extension from a 78 SC that is supposed to be painted Rosewood. I tried to compare photo's but the color looks different depending on lighting conditions.

For some reason I thought it was a factory colored used from 1981 - 1983.

Was it used on earlier years?

I suspect not. I'm fairly familiar with the Porsche colors from that era and that color seems to have arrived around 1982 if my memory serves. It is doubtful that it was a Paint To Sample color in 1978 as the color wasn't created until maybe 1981/2.

I think Rosewood was available when I bought my '81 new.
