the reason i'm asking is i want to take the 911 on my annual trip to bristol for the nascar race. great drive thru the mtns on the way there, last year it was killing me to be in the wife's suv. of course it's tough getting in not to mention a dust-fest, so a car cover will have to be standard fare as well.

knock on wood my particular vehicle has acted exactly as it's supposed to so far in this respect, the worst thing i've run into was about 20 minutes of interstate crawling.....during july in north carolina......and i think the worst the gauge got to was 9:30.

big time help to my confidence....lookout.......this year we're going to tennessee via stuttgart

On my '85 I have had it stuck in traffic on days near 100F temp gets up there to maybe 10:00 position after extended period ~45 minutes stop/go. I have considered adding a fan with manual switch but I think my thermostat may not be fully opening.

Awhile back I 'did' have a bad thermostat and car would smoke after extended stop/go. I pulled off and let it cool until fixed.

Now at 175K miles, no internal engine work.
