Brake pads for 1987 911
It would be appreciated if someone could please direct me to any posts concerning brake pads for a 1987 911. these would be primarily for street use with the occasional track day.

Jurid, Textar and Pagid all make fine pads for your car. Slight differences exist regarding how much dust each produces vs noise, but all three give good stopping distances. Any fade you might experience at the track will also involve your brake fluid, how often you replace it, your brake hoses, and what you've done to get cool air to the pads/rotors. A number of Rennlisters enjoy track days so I'm sure that you will get a lot of advice from your post.

Another great pad is one by Metalmaster. It has a lot of metal bits in it. I used it mostly for street,--and an occasional autocross or roadcourse.

I would look at Hawk and EBC ( Redstuff looks nice, ceramic). They both make race pads also.
I 'intend' to use ceramics only in future on all vehicles. Akebono is another on my radar but they don't do true race pads and maybe not for Porsche.
I have a set of Hawk HPS with cross-drill Zimmerman on a 1985 front. They have 35K miles on them and are still 50% left. As I understand it, the more like race pads...the more they eat your rotors. I think I can see this on mine. They sound nice also...like a sound of a jet flying overhead (doppler effect)..obviously not as loud. I do only street and these will take whatever I throw at them.
The Hawks are very low dust. I have PBR DS69 ceramics on the back but the dust x2 the Hawks so I might stay with Hawk. Hawk did not make rears at the time otherwise they would be on the back.
Oh yes, bed pads per mfg.
