I might be looking at an '88 Carrera Coupe this week. Car is in Connecticut, I'm in RI. Can anybody give me a recommendation on a shop to do a pre-purchase inspection near Wilmington CT (~12 mi. north of New Haven) or Providence RI?

I'm a Porsche neophyte, btw. I do track events in a modded 240Z and daily-drive a 240SX. The 911 would be my "new" daily driver, also doing occasional track days.

I'll second that recommendation. Dan is the DE saftey chair. There is nobody more qualified.

Dan, I'm in Cumberland RI. Local guy brought his to Randolph Racing, south shore of MA (Stoughton, IIRC). Had very good things to say about them.

I've had very poor personal PPI experience with Inskip Porsche, FWIW.

I had good experience w/ & heard recommendations for Fairfied... they've done PPIs for folks looking at cars at Sloan's...

This PPI request was almost 3 years ago, the guy that brought it out of the ashes trashed Randolph Racing, then deleted his post!
