Default Hard Start Problem

Hi- I am new and have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. I have a 75 911S that is hard start at anything below 80 degrees. I can get it to start if I remove air filter and place a very small straw (WD 40) under the butter
fly valve and set throttle lever up. I know that it must be some type of sensor or adjustment to fix this. I replaced the cold start valve but that was not the fix.
Once motor has warmed up it will start without this method. Also car stumbles at low rpm until warm. I am guessing that the choke or equivalent
is not working. I live 70 miles from nearest Porsche Dealer so if this is something I can do myself I will. Thanks Glenn
