Ignition switch/key placement
One of the most enduring traits of the 911 is the location of the ignition on the left hand side of the steering wheel. That's fine.
However, where is the key location in a Right hand drive version? Is it to the right of the wheel? Is that an "unusual" placement for right hand drive cars or do they all go on that side?
Thanks!

Three Wheelin'
On RHD 911s the ignition is to the right of the steering wheel, like a mirror image of the LHD cars. The story goes that back in the the day when Le Mans and other sports car races had running starts (where the drivers would run across the front straight and jump into the cars and start em when the green flag dropped), Porsche put the ignition to the left so the driver could jump in and start the car and put the car in gear at the same time. Don't know if that would honestly save much time but that's the legend, and all 911s and most other Porsches have been the same ever since. However, I think it's kinda cheesy that the Cayenne has the key to the left, when actual sports cars like 924/944/968s and many 914s had the key to the right . . . .
