Default Fuel Expansion Tan removal

I plan on yanking out the huge washer fluid tank and using the Intensive tank from the 3.2 inside the trunk instead.

Can the fuel expansion tank be removed and the vapor lines joined togther or is there a smaller substitute tank that can be used?

I want to keep all the dirt & road crud from piling up in the front of the wheel well that will result in a rust issue.

Thanks !

John

it prevent raw gas from being dumped on the ground next to where the battery might make sparks when you restart after refueling....
