I want to put my 88 944 on a cheeper collector type insurance but i am 22 years old and Leland west will not accept me untill i am 25. the 944 is not an every day driver i have another car insured with state farm for my daily driving. Do you know if Hegerty will accept me or if they have any age stipulations like leland west? Thanks.

I will be going with Hagerty because when I called Leland they told me that I needed an additional car to be insured with them. I asked if it could be my 2004 Cobra, but they stated that it also has to be a classic or collector (aged). I have an agreed value of $24,000.00 for my 1990 C2 Carrera with the cost of $521.00 a year in new Jersey. Hagerty will get my business I guess. Also their quote is good for 1 month..if anyone needs to know.

I shopped the big three and it looks like I am going with Haggerty. Grundy wouldn't take me because my car is not part of a collection. Leland seemed very restrictive to the point of stating I would not be covered if I drove to work, no matter what the reason. Haggerty is a little more expensive, but cheaper than my current insurer.
