Default 97'911s4how rare?

Just purchased 97 911 s4 because I cant afford a twin turbo right now but the s4 has all the same options except the twin turbos. I've heard that it was a10k option to have the s4 wide body,full-time tail,4-wheel drive, big tires18",ect.I love the looks of the car,but in a year at 40k miles I'm wondering how much it will be worth so I can get something faster.

you are welcome to educate yourself a little more about those cars on the 993 forums. Most people do this before they write the check. Congratulations on a great car purchase.

Matt, welcome to RL & HNY! You've got a great car there - the '97 Carrera 4S was the last & top of the breed - the normally aspirated, air-cooled 3.6l 911 w/ 4WD in widebody style. More than a few Porsche experts prefer them to the Turbo. I suppose if you have completely mastered the perf regime of your car & become bored, then the turbo is worth consideration - it is a personal choice, after all. I'd suggest you attend some PCA DE events in your neighborhood where you will see many variants of hi-perf 911s & engage w/ experienced owners, including those who have owned 993 2S, 4S & Turbo models. You can also get on the track & demonstrate your prowess. good luck!
