As we all know the Porsche name and legacy has always been big in to the sport of drag racing and there is nothing more powerful for off the line and than to the ¼ line than the 924, so how can anything compete. (please notice the high level of sarcasm in the last statement)

I don’t want to **** off the repost police if this is a repost from the past but tonight on “Pinks” on the speed channel at 630 (central) there is a GM Safari racing a 924, this should be fun to watch.

This show is like a bad accident sometimes you just have to look and this may be one of those times.

I would bet there were some modifications to the engine, just a guess. I wonder what they did to the 924 to make it competitive in drag race.

Its a re-run actually, the 924 breaks down before the race and never gets to run. They end up having a Camaro race in its place.

And your wondering what they had to do to make a 924 competitive in a drag race.... i would imagine everything!

There's a shop here in Ft. Lauderdale (German Performance) that drops LS1's (LT1's?) into 924's/944's. Fits like a glove and runs like a raped ape. A few of the cars are tracked.
