I like the sound on the second clip.
Here is mine with SSI's and the Dansk Sport muffler.

I think you would find even the fabspeed muffler to be plenty loud. There is a limit on how much HP you can pick up by reducing backpressure. On a stock car, if you go too far, I think it starts to go down again. Get a good setup. You will hear and feel it.

Has anyone dyno'd a M&K yet? I got tired of asking this question on Pelican. Everyone drools about how they look and sound. Sound is one thing, but what is going on in the power category. Not trying to be critical, just trying to learn about their design.
Like Jeremy's, I've got a Magnaflow on my headers, it is symphonic!

Ed yours sounds awesome. It was our ride to the race track that got me started on this. For now I am not going to by headers and xhaust. I think I may go for the cat replacement system and dump pipe. In addition to this Im going to add a chip to help fuel system after freeing it up..........
BTW what do you think of the 911chips.com chips.

I have spent a lot of time researching mufflers and I went with the M&K single inlet and dual outlets. It looks great, it is very light almost 15lbs lighter than a stock muffler....sound great....not too loud....cost $525 and is easy to install. Now, I don't hit the race track....I like to cruise.....and tackle inviting roads....

amazing sounds. Nothing like the sound of a aircooled porsche. Hopefully this is not an ignorant question, but i've noticed that some 911's have a pronounced high pitched whine, while others have a deep throaty roar. Is this high pitched whine that i'm referring to, a sound of the motor and straight cut gears, and is this sound drowned out by aftermarket exhausts? thanks in advance for the info.

You probably refer to the sound of the air cooling fan when you talk about whine. The louder the exhaust, the less pronounced it will be.
