The old man is thinking of getting his 911 rebuilt or doing it himself these guys
http://www.motormeister.com/suz/911_...11_engines.htm
seem to have complete part kits to DIY or you can ship the motor to them to have it done
Just wondering if anyone has used them or if they're reputable
thanks
Anthony

Ohhh myyyy. Definitely do a search on Pelican!
If disgruntled customers in huge numbers is any indication, I'd recommend a huge caveat emptor on this vendor.

This thread seems to repeat itself every few months. Better to ask questions than not. Like stated above, do a search, lots of dirt, not so good stories. Everyone wonders how they stay in buisness.

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please do some extensive searching on Motor Meister and then make a decision on what you have read. 911 motor rebuilds should not be taken lightly.

You got that right, they talk the talk. they could sell a dead horse to a cowboy. Be very careful, check them out, then find a good local shop. You'll save money in the long run. They have lots of "history" and a multitude of one time customers. Buyer beware.

Please don't get fooled by the 'web bling' that you may have seen on their site or others for that matter.
Be informed. Be happy.

I can't recommend them because they have never done work for me before but I did stop by their shop several years ago and they were knowledgable on certain intricacies of a '70 2.2 S engine. I don't see where they quote their price for a baseline rebuild if it is shipped to them.

Not sure where you live (951kid), but surely there are better choices and perhaps even closer choices for this motor rebuild. Check your local PCA chapter too, as most regions have a "well respected" local shop.
