Excellent article. First time I've seen this one.

I like the Counterpoint section where the the misguided author states (in 1980) that the 911 model line will last two more years at the most. On top of that, stating the 911SC is as good as it (the 911) can be made is probably the mis-statement of the century. I wonder just how dumb the author would feel if he goes back and reads the dribble he wrote at the time.
