Default 911 appears sorted what a relief

I purchased my 78' 911sc in april after a ppi which everything checked out well. Car had all paper work and needed a tune-up to establish a baseline. The car sat quite a while in the last ten years, so I did not know what to expect. 3,600 miles later everything appears to have been polished up. New fuel accumulator, tune-up, and tires. Alternator bearing sheared off into pieces forcing the fan to hit the housing which left me stranded in the mountains. Recent valve adjust completed and no problems with head bolts. Wow what a relief.
thanks everyone for the help on this forum I purchased a $10,000 sc which I knew was a risk and needed some polishing, but it did take quite a while before I investigated and became knowledgeable from rennlist about potential problems. The head bolts was my last worry other than normal maintenance.

Those are great cars ! The best tip on keeping them running, is to keep running them. They just love to be driven.
