What year bumper to fit small Euro bumperettes?

I am thinking about switching the large US bumper pads to the smaller Euro version, but I know that will expose mounting holes on my 78SC. Is the 74-77 bumper plate the correct one to buy for the smaller version?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm not certain those years bumpers interchange, but I would simply install plugs or carriage bolts in the remaining exposed holes - one on each side, I think... you could always chase down an old bumper (or fill in the one you have - see threads on Pelican w/ lotsa photos) at leisure.
In my case I removed the heavy US pads & didn't replace them w/ the narrow Euro style, & painted the bolt-heads to match the bumper. Cheap & light. Some may not like the look, but for me it harkens back to the clean swb era tail (no spoilers, either).

All the USA cars got the more massive bumper pads from 1974 onward. OF course, the Euros got the tiny little things. Just a suggestion,--a friend of mine went through what you're considering and then got hit slightly from behind. If he had RETAINED the USA protection he would have gotten off clean. He wound up having to repaint the bumper.

In '74 the 911s, while having "impact bumpers" had the small over riders.
'75-89 all had the "large" over riders.
Euro cars(74-89) had the small ones.
When you remove the large pads you will have mounting holes exposed.
