Regardless, even independent tests from Amsoil show Mobil 1, at least with their motorcycle formulation, to be just as good. Not that I consider it light reading, but it's very interesting to say the least:

From my own testing, the Mobil 1 15w50 Extended Performance and Mobil 1 V-Twin are pretty much the same when it comes to their additives and just from posted raw performance numbers, they look the same too.
