Post Just purchased 1982 911SC . Missing under load

Runs smooth up to 6000 RPMs as long as pedal is not to the floor. When pedal to the floor, it starts cutting out around 4000 RPMs and in 3rd gear will not even get up to 6000 RPMs. Valves were just adjusted along with leak down test and compression test, which all looked good. Spark plugs were changed 10,000 miles ago. At idle now, when warm, the RPMs are bouncing between 900 and 1200. Any ideas as to what my problem is? Thank you in advance for any help. I love the car.

I would suggest that you check your plug wires and cap and rotor.
Have fun
