Cool Spare wheel re-usable?

Following my post on new tyres, I was forced to use the spare wheel last saturday (Man it was sad to drive the last 300 kilometers at 100Km/h!).

It looked original (probably there since 1986), and it worked great.

My question is: Can I just deflate the spare tyre and put it back for the next "happening", or should I get a new one?

Carlos:

If this is an April fool trick, my answer is to keep the wheel and just buy a new tire. If this is not an April fool trick, my answer is to reuse it over and over until the tread wears down to the wear bar. Actually I don't know much about those things as I've never used one, but I don't think it's a use just once and replace item like an airbag.

Cool

Jim,

Thanks for the reply... actually it was no april fool´s question! ;-)

The guys at the garage where I got my new tyres did it for me.. they just deflated it, and said "it will last forever"...

Thanks!
