I have both soild tranny mounts and solid subframe mount from TRG.
They stiffen up the car. Helps in handling as well as helping the P car transfer more power to the ground due to a less swaying or moving motor and tranny caused by rubber mounts.
It'll make the car feel like a race car and may rattle a few fillings loose =O)

I realize this is the 911 Board, on my 97 Carrera , one step better than stock, and not as radical as solid mounts is to go to the 993 RS motormounts (2) and transmission mount (1). I have the motormounts.....I can't really tell the difference from stock. There is no increase in noise level in the car...clearly not the case with solid mounts.
There were Club Sport motor mounts available for 88 Carrera cars, 89 as well. I don't know if these would work with the earlier motors...clearly the transmissions are different, G-50 VS 915.
