Default 1966 911 RACE CAR FOR SALE

1966 2.0 litre; BRG/white stripes (VIN 303100). Tony Adamowicz drove it, liked it (he knows, he won the ‘66 Trans Am in a similar car), even autographed it. Acquired ’96. 1st build in 2000; All new since 2001:

Engine and gearbox: Trevor-built balanced engine, 901 gearbox (airport gears), clutch, throw-out bearings, pressure plate; suspension set-up. Aluminum case, hardened Std crank, Elgin S+ cams; Weber IDF40s w/K&Ns and correct manifolds, Carillo rods, Competition Engineering heads and Cosworth P&Cs set @ 10.5:1. All internals the ‘good stuff’: Porsche rockers, rod bolts and cam chains; new springs, retainers, etc. Distributor-fired MSD. Carrera hydraulic chain tensioners. Mobil 1 in fender-mounted Terbatrol cooler, Aeroquip lines and trunk-mounted 8qt SS reservoir. 1 3/4” jet-hot coated headers (w/plugs for EGR) into Flowmaster mufflers (meets 93dB reqs).

Body, Safety and Interior: B&D body work; bare-metal paint, inside and out, by The HotRod Shop. Headlight bucket covers (one opaque, one mesh) Fenders ‘relieved’ (for 205/60 Hoosiers). O&G ‘S’ bumpers. Lexan rear and ¾ windows and side windows w/straps; glass windshield. Safety Devices full cage (w/last Steamboat Race tech sticker!), FloFit seats, Simpson 5-pt harnesses, cabin and engine compartment fire system, PCA seatback brace. Electric cut-off and remote fire-extinguisher switch. Wink mirror. Original, uncracked dash w/proper race gauge setup (electric telltale tach/oil pressure light/shift light/etc), headliner and vinyl door interiors; everything behind seats is stripped and painted. Momo wheel.

Brakes and Suspension: Adjustable Konis. nylon/delrin bushings. 19mm (Fr) and 16mm (R) Weltmeister sway bars, 22mm (Fr) and 28mm (R) torsion bars. Turbo tie-rods. ‘Triangled’ strut tower brace. Vented disks all around, w/aluminum S calipers in front. All brakes have cooling ducts. Dual master cylinder. Two sets of ‘deep’ Fuchs 6x15s w/long studs, ¼” spacers and Steel nuts. De-cambered to -1 ½ degrees.

Misc: SCCA, PCA and RMVR log books. Wired for headlights; functioning turn-signals, wipers and horn. Fast, quick, torque-y and reliable (no DNFs). Can run consistently at the front w/any club. Has not been on-track for about 2 years, a great car.

Wow, sounds like a well-built 911. Can't afford it myself, but you might want to include a price, not to mention that you should put this into the RL classifieds. BTW, Tony's a super great guy and if it got his thumbsup, you had to have built it well. Best of luck!
