Hello All,

Do any know what is the routing time to get the valve job done, I heard that every 15K miles from other Porsche Group, any idae how much does it cost and should it be done at 15K miles.

Mine has 40K miles since I bought the car and seem running very smooth (no ping), should I get the valve job done, and what would the shop do ?

I assume you are writing about the regular maintenance procedure of valve adjustments.

I had the valves adjusted on my 1986 Carrera every 15,000 miles. My current '90 requires valve adjustments every 15k too. I usually paid about $300 for the adjustments on the '86 and the '90 runs a little more.

I remember there were posts (on the old board even?) that discussed valve adjustment costs and they seemed to range anywhere from $200 - $500 depending on labor rates. Some individuals do the adjustments themselves for much less.

If you have not had the valves adjusted for 40,000 miles, I would suggest getting that work done.
