Help for Fun Project - Need a Used Pressure Plate!
Hey folks!
Long story short, I'm looking for a useable condition '72-'86 225mm 915 trans pressure plate, pn 915.116.001.27, or the aluminum equivalent (not sure of the part number for that guy).
Rumor has it that the '72-'86 911 pressure plates offer up a bit more clamping pressure than what I've got at the moment - which is in a 1980 924 Turbo S as a toy project. I'm shooting for a solid 250hp out of the old VW truck 2.0L using a megasquirt and Ford EDIS conversion plus a 951 intercooler and a bunch of other goodies.
My stock pressure plate is rated at 7200-7900 N clamping force, whereas the 911 plate is reported at 7800-8500 Newtons. Every little bit helps. The 911 plate was run on the 210hp 924 Carrera GT, so I'm hoping it will offer me a little extra bite too.
Cheers!
