Post What kind of porsche is this??

Hello,
I'm not a Porsche owner, but just a Porsche fan!

I saved this image that I found on the internet. I was hoping someone could give me some more information on this car. It is quite striking! I assumed it was a 911, but could not tell if it was a 964 or 993 or maybe something else.

Thanks!

It looks like a 993 with a wild body kit. But, it could be any year 911 before 99 with a complete kit.

Neat car!

That looks like Beddor's Ruf 993 that won the Virginia City Hillclimb a couple times. See the fourth car back? That's Amir's Ferrari F40. That pic looks like it's from staging at the hillclimb.

That is a Ruf CTR2. Specificly, it is the Ruf CTR2 that Steve Beddor won the Virginia City hill climb with in 2000.

For some details, go to http://www.pulpracing.com/stories.htm and find the link for

"Chapter 51 - Virginia City Hill Climb 2000"

Then be prepared to waste the better part of a day by starting at Chapter 1 and reading the rest of them.
