Hello Everyone, just looking to see if any one can offer some advise for locating a car in the North East, I'm looking for the following...
I have the urge to purchase another 911. Have owned a 1970 911T and a 1976 911S in the past...now I have this bad desire to get a 1988 911 Carrera. Don't ask me why I want to do this 30 days away from the snow flying here, but I do, So...
Looking for a :
1998
Porsche 911
Sunroof Coupe
Desired options...
Rear Wiper
Front/Rear FACTORY Spoilers
Cruise Control
Climate control air conditioning
Power Mirrors
Power Locks
Power Windows
Factory Alarm with key
Power Seats
Heated seats
Euro Headlamps
Original Steering wheel
Must be excellent condition (we all want that don't we), low mileage with original equipment/manuals/tools/ wheels etc. Basically looking for an un-molested factory model.
No problem if its a Euro Model.
Hopefully one can be found in the NE, but willing to travel for the right car/price. With price in mind, I don't mind paying for a nice example with known history!...
(Hopefully I have posted this in the right forum section)
Welcome- please add your location to your profile, it makes it quicker and easier for the rest of us. Have you posted on the Pelican board? Both it and this board have classifieds- some really great cars there. I'm sure you know this, but a Pre-purchase inspection (PPI) is essential before you buy. a few hundred dollars can save you thousands!
Thanks for the reminder on the location. I can see why it would make a difference. As well...in my post I said looking for a car in NE...I mean North East.
You might want to broaden your search area. Lots of rust-free cars in California, though I am sure you'll find what you're looking for locally with enough diligence. Have you got a copy of '101 Projects for your Porsche 911'? I suggest you buy a copy. There are also books out there which will help you find a good car. Good luck and keep us posted!

Yep, but even that could mean NY, CT, etc. You are about as NE as it gets!
