Bottom line this is adry sump lubrication sysyem and you are check what's in the tank, there is lots more in the tank other than what you are checking so I don't sweat it at all if it's low, unless of course you are the **** in the latest issue of excellence who lets his car go 6 quarts low.

Ps I change my oil every 8000km and it is always as full as when I topped it up after my change. I know because ai keep spilling out of my container under the car :-)
