Tires for 1977 911S
Hey Guys,
I went to replace tires on my '77 at the tire shop where I purchase tires for my other vehicles, and was told NO CAN DO!
Seems my size wheel (6JX15) and tire (185/70/VR15) are now specialty items. I checked Coker Tires and they sell the tire @ $287/tire.
Anyone out there run into this problem?

common problem these days. check w/ Tire Rack (or similar online retailers) for your choices. some people get 6&7x16 Fuchs wheels as an upgrade that also provides a broader selection of tire brands, types & prices.

Hi Garry,
I own an 1975 911S withe 6jx15 wheels. I run the Yokohama ES100 AVS Steve is talking about-great tire, inexpensive, nice tread pattern, good in rain...not a winter tire though! I've run both the 195/65-15 and 205/55-15 on all four corners.
Good luck,
///Nick

Folks,
What would be the period correct tires for Fuchs 6 and 7s for front and rear respectively? And if I want to go for something a bit lower in terms of sidewall, would the rolling radius be kept the same if I were to go to 205/50 fronts and 225/50 rears?
TIA!
