Default Drivers' side front keeps settling at same ride height.

I've been trying to no avail to up my left front ride height by approx. 1/2". I know about indexing the torsion bars and the adjustment screw setting and the car has new Bistein HDs. I have inspected the adjustment lever and bolt as well as the torsion bar splines.

I can get the right height initially, but a quick drive around the block always has it settling back at a too low 24.5".

I assume if the torsion bar was cracked the suspension would collapse. Any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket front sway bar? I find that on stock cars the ride height is easy to set, but on cars where the customer has stiffer suspension and a big sway bar, it can be a huge pain in the *** to get it just right, last time I did it on a street/track car it literally took about 20 tries, but i eventually got it.
