Default Back Date heat compatible with AC?

Hello,

I was thinking of backdating my heat on an 81SC. But I wanted to keep the AC. My blower motor was broken, so when I removed it to install my rear shocks, I didn't put it back in. I will be installing SSI heat exchangers and I bought the necessary old tins to backdate the heat on both the right and left sides. But I want to keep the AC. Will the compressor be in the way of the right side downtube to the heat exchanger?

Thanks,

I kept the air on my 83SC when I backdated to SSI's and older style tin with no problems.

Ok, super! I will leave the AC in. Of course it doesn't work yet...

But I will let my mechanic charge it back up in the spring. Right now it doesn't have the heat hooked up, and in a few months, assuming I get the engine back in, I will need the heat here.
