Yea, saw it the other day. Personally, I think it is more of a tribute to 911 than anything else. Not sure why he hates the 911 so much. It is a shame anytime one of these classics kicks the bucket, but each time it happens, ours become an itty-bit more valuable.

The ending is a total let down. (no pun intended). Rigging a camper trailor with explosives and dropping the car on it is not really fair given the other experiments.

I would have enjoyed it more if the jerk drove the car into the exploding
trailer himself! That might have made the loss of another 911 a little bit easier to take.

This one has been around for a while. Notice the engine/trans was missing for the big finale. Plus, the value of the car wasn't very high to start with. Kinda neat how it stands up so well to the punishment...

That show is actually VERY funny ( Top Gear ) and they do respect Porsches a lot. They do one with the Carrera GT and it is excellent , the same guy Jeremy ives the car a total thumbs up . If you get a chance check outt he car olympics one .. it is hillarious.. they do a ski jump with a jet powered mini ..

Top Gear is the BEST auto show. Funny & very entertaining. Look for the Toyota truck episode & the caravan one. Many, many gems. On a side note one of the presenters - Richard Hammond - just had a bad wreck with a jet car a couple of weeks ago.

Too bad I have to get the show from Torrent . . .

Ian

edit: spelling as usual

also; notice how most of the damage they do to it is in the front? what do they hope to hurt, the fuel tank?
