![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a 76 Carrera 3.0 which i have purchased a set of triple 40 for. The car already has SSI's and a straight through muffler, Permatune CD unit.
Standard carrera 3.0 cams.
My question is does anyone know what setup i should run in the webers e.g Venturi,Emulsion tubes jets etc.
Thanks in Advance

I had good results with the following:
F3 emulsion tubes
34 mm venturi's
55 idle jets
175 air correction
pump jets are "closed"
My setup was for the track, so you may want to go to smaller venturi's, maybe 30mm. Also, you will see better performance if you replace the Permatune unit with an MSD ignition. IMO
Let me know the results !
Good luck !

Bill,
Actually the the book "Weber Carburetors" has much more useful information on the factory settings for various models. I tried Bruce's starting setup, but found the factory settings to be much more favorable. Although in Bruce's book he does have the formula for determining the correct size carb, and also correct size venturi's. <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />

The cams in the Carrera 3.0 are exactly the same as in all other 3 and 3.2 engines. The 76-77 Carrera just has the timing retarded the most(enhances high end hp). The early 3 liter SCs have the timing advanced the most(enhances low end torque), later 3 and all 3.2 split the difference. The total range of timing differences is 6 degree from most retarded to most advanced.

Thanks Bill
The specs i had on the SC appear to be wrong. I checked the timing for the SC and they indeed do have the same Gind. Just shows its wise to double check Info.
Thanks
