Look in Pelican For Sale Forums, Rennlist For Sale, and in the PCA Mart.... there was a really well set up one at Limerock this weekend but he wanted $75K for it... way overpriced. He has a ton of $$ in the car but the reality is you will be lucky to get back $.50 on the dollar spent on a project, which this guy will soon find out..

Default Stratton Motorsports

Call Gary Stratton of Stratton Motorsports in Winter Park, Fl. He's been building them for more that 30 years. Gary is a Porsche concours judge and knows how to build'em, correctly!
Here's a picture of the last one he built.
His cell number = (407) 421-1911

To do it yourself? Would depend entirely on what you start with. Backdating an SC with all fiberglass parts would give you the 3.0L, a 915, good brakes, and a galvanized car (with SC/RS flares) to start with. If you want an RSR replica the rear will need flaring also. You can find a good solid base SC *around* $12K, then add about $25K for top notch interior, paint, saftey stuff (race seats, roll cage, harnesses, fire system and fuel cell), and wheels/tires. Fiberglass parts require a LOT of work to get them to both fit and finish nice. To have it built add another $20K..

Go to the sites that sell all the stuff and start pricing it out.

Then to be safe double it...

You can make a replica that is faster than an RS for about $30k not incl. labor (except on the heads) and not incl. the base car you start with. Less if there is no repaint. I assume you do all the work yourself except the heads/machining etc.
