I have a 1988 911 Coupe that I have insured with complete coverage by Hagerty Insurance (a subsidiary of CNA). They insure antiques and exotics. If you identify your P-Car as an exotic you can get a quote which will allow you to insure the car for the full value that you put on it, not the book value used by most auto insurers. The great part is that the rates are very reasonable. My '88, valued at $38,500 (if the car were totaled, they would write me a check for that amount) (car is like new, with only 5K miles on the clock). The premium costs me less than $800 per YEAR. There are some mileage restrictions and the car has to be kept in an enclosed garage. But, the mileage limits are not that bad.
You can get a quote on line at hagerty.com. Be sure to list your 911 as an exotic to avoid the 25-year antique limitation. My local independent insureance agency got this policy for me.

Hope this helps.

Try Progressive.com
I went with a $1000 ded 100/300 full coverage.
I pay about $89/month for a 98 Subaru Legacy GT and the 87 Targa. Going with the high deductible payed for itself in about 15 months and I keep putting the bonus in my pocket every renewal period - My previous coverage with the same limits at another company and a $ 250.00 ded
was about $ 300/ 6 months higher.
If you gamble that you will not need to make a claim during a certain period of time and have the cash to support a high deductible - its money in the bank. The high ded decision is also much easier to make when your beauty sits in the garage 99.9 % of the time and your wife drives the Legacy about 4 miles a day 5 days a week. I have found the cheapest insurance is the kind your employer pays for when they hand you the keys to your company SUV

Yo' gr8fl4porsche,

Are you a member of PCA? Did you do the leaf tour last year? Are you going to hit the Carrera Classic in April? I'll be there in either a 944S2 Cab or a 930S Cab (purchasing pending, I hope) with a good looking blonde riding shotgun. For everyone else in the midwest, the St. Louis Region is holding the Carrera Classic on April 20 and 21. It's at Gateway International Raceway just across the river in Illinois. There will be another DE the weekend of July 28th sponsored by the BMW club. I won't be at that one, heading to Boise for Parade 2002! <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />
