Post Air leak???

Hello,
I just noticed I am missing the small stopper/plug that goes in the hole to the left of the fuel distributor (it is the one for the 3mm adjustment screw). Will there be an air leak without this stopper or will I face any problems w/o it… seems as if water could get in there… I know I have not had one the 6 months I have owned the car.
Thanks in advance for any input,
Marc

If your car is US market AND if it's never been tampered with, this hole should be blanked off, but it will still look like there's room for a rubber plug. If it's open, then you can get the plug (it's where you set the fuel mixture on earlier CIS cars) from Porsche or one of the aftermarket suppliers.

I've never noticed a difference in operation with or without the plug, but it can't be a good thing to have an open hole exposing such expensive hardware.
