Back when I started my engine overhaul mission I decided I would convert my early 911 to a single battery setup. I figured a single more modern battery should be up to the task and be less maintenance. Trouble is, I'm having trouble finding a battery locally that will fit the battery box. Does anyone know of a car that uses a similar size that I could purchase from a local "redneck" parts store? I've heard that Mazda Miata batteries will fit. Anybody know from experience?

Do you know which model number I should ask for? The ones I've seen locally are WAY too big.
