Went on a looooooong trip on the weekend and got about 450 miles out of one full tank of gas. I was very impressed to say the least. Anyone else out there had some big miles on one tank?

I have a 1985 911 with 173K miles on it. If I drive primarily highway and 60-65 MPH, I can get over 23 MPG. Normally I run around 19-20 MPG with mostly city. Mine has 20 gallon tank.

I was getting higher overall MPG in the summer before California eliminated MBTE additive a few years ago.

don't forget you've got a big tank (22 gallons) for a small car, most mid size sedans only carry 18 gallons these days.

I get about the same mileage as Glencof in my '86.
