Hawk Blues v. PF 97's ?
I've only used Hawk Blues as a track pad for DE events. Currently in White run group (the 3rd of 5 in Riesentoter PCA) and have been hearing interesting things re: the PF 97's. I really like the 'bite' of the Blues, but they are really doing a number on my rotors. Anyone make the switch from the Blues to the 97's, and how do they compare? Thank you in advance.

Have not used the Hawk Blues, but have been using the PFC 97 pads for about 8 years. I really like them and they are easy on rotors. I have about 20 track days on my current front rotors and they are still at 19.5 mm thick (they start at 20 mm). This is on a 82 SC weighing about 2500 lbs.

Can't comment on the Hawk Blues, except that I know folks like them. I've used PFC97s on my 993 doing TTs for a few seasons, and liked them so much I now currently use them for my SC Trackmeister. They wear extrememly well, are easy on rotors, bite well, no fade, feel consistent ...hmm, what else
Hope this helps you.

I have used both...PFC pads are better in terms of rotor wear and braking ability...if you like the 97's try the newer 01 compund...that is what i am currently running...as a side note, the dust created by the Hawk Blues is very toxic to rotors, calipers, and paintwork...i have not found this to be the case with the PFC pads.
