Default First year 911 Cab

Rather than continuing deabte on this- I thought I knew a lot about the Carrera, having owned a couple, being a Concours Judge (trained by the esteemed Pat Yanahan), and a DE instructor for 5 years, I will not debate people like Adiran Streather. (One of the best Porsche people on the planet).
It was on my best information that I stated that the 84 was the first year Cab from the factory.
Regardless, an 84 Cab in very original condition with only 43k miles is a heck of a good find, and at $21.5k, is a good deal. If you're not interested, please tell someone who is. I'll pay a $100 bounty to the person who refers me the buyer; due to circumstances beyond my control, it's time for my baby to go. That does NOT mean I'll give it away because I need to...PCA valued the car between $23-29.5k (it's insured for the $29, BTW), so someone with the reasonable cash gets a wonderful car. Please read the ad. I am too honest for my own good, I suppose, but integrity is worth far more to me than any other 'stature'. I'm honest, even if it costs me. Guess the OD brown never leaves the shorts.
All the best, and support our guys overseas, whether you trust W or not.

Russ: Not sure where you called the '84 the first factory 911 Cab, but for the record the first was the '83 SC. FYI: Please do not think this is intended as the final word, there are ALWAYS exceptions, but Sports Car Market magazine's '06 Pocket Price Guide, a far more realistic source than anything put out by PCA, pegs your car at between $17 and 19K. This is for a strong #2 car (#1 being the best) with no stories and is in very good physical condition with no glaring faults. That said, even SCM states that a price guide is only a starting point - many things can affect value up or down. One thing that's interesting, they have found a 12% reduction in value, from '05, for the '84-86 Cabs. Just some info to chew on...

Sorry my man these guys are right 83 SC cab is first and to be honest since that was the only SC year, it is possible that the 83 is worth more than the 84 in pristine condition because of that...

Um, I bought a 50k black over burgundy 84 Cab in fairly decent shape, have sorted out all of the minor things since.
When I bought it the only "major" item was 2nd gear.

I paid $19.5k, Nov. '04. She has 67k on her now, new alt, 60k done, M&K, cat bypass (still have cat on the shelf), Nakamichi / Infinity system, weltmeister chip, short shifter, '92 C2 5-spoke wheels, roll bar, etc.

I think you're likely a bit high, but best of luck with the sale.
