Finally got the picture to size and upload. The yellow box is where the CC cable attaches to the accelerator mechanism. The yellow arrow points to where the cable goes into the back of the plastic housing. They are crimped at the factory, but sometimes pull out over time. When the cable on my car pulled out of the housing, the operation of the accelerator cable pushed the CC cable out of the sheath and it was catching on the side of the housing and being held in an open position. I had to shut the engine down ASAP and did no damage. I got a piece of wire (.015-.025 diameter) and wrapped it around the cable and also secured it to the housing so the cable would not pull out. I also made a bracket that attached to the plug wire insulator that crosses the fan housing. This prevents any movement of the housing which can easily break. The long term fix was to get another cable (I found a used one) and make the hook-up more solid. It is very rigid now and very operational. http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/sscn0005_copy1.jpg
