Post Carerra -88, Euro vs US

Anyone knowing the difference between these 2 engines. What changes on the US version was made to conform to the US emission standards. Can I modify my US "back" to euro spec and get the about 15 hp that was lost.
I'm planning of moving back to europe and bring my US car. Just a thought.

Thanks.

I believe the primary difference that accounts for the 15hp is the change from higher compression to lower compression for the US. There are things that you could do to increase the power leaving the pistons and cylinders that you have.
