non-Porsche groups (almost) as good as...
Rennlist?
My son, who still is a month away from his learner's permit, has purchased a used '85 Honda CRX to fix up in time for getting his licence. He knows I know only a little about cars, but is impressed with what I've been able to accomplish with a couple of manuals and help from this group. Well, as a present I bought him a good service manual for the car, now all he needs is to find a group similar to this one (if one exists ) and he'll be set. Anyone out there know of a good resource? He's also asking around town here, as these cars are relatively common and straightforward, and may find help closer to home.
Thanks in advance for any replies; as he regards himself as a "future Porsche owner" (by purchase rather than via inheritance, I hope ), I want to encourage him.
Thanks again,
Stan

Good luck with your son! While I havent found an import board quite like rennlist, http://www.honda-tech.com/, is one I frequent.
It's a good hobby to get into. Maybe a project you work on together will ad some always needed bonding time.

The only Honda board I have been on is for my lawnmower...
On the serious side, I am not familiar with any good sites for Honda, but www.cardomain.com has more than it's share of the imports and I am sure he could get some good tech advice there.

Altough my friend has been looking hard for some Honda-solidarity, he is jealous of the porsche community, with good reason! (he also has issues with my car that I won't get into here...)
try these, see if they can lead to something helpfull... You might also introduce him to solo events, that's if you're gonna let him jump on the track anytime soon....
