Question Newbie 911 Purchase Question

Hi Everyone,

I have located a low mileage 911 cab for sale. To that extent, I was curious to know if there are any known problems with this year and model. In addition,
what would be a fair price for a car with less then 17000 miles. Needless to say. I will obtain a pre-inspection.

Thanks so much

J

You didn't tell us what year . . .

But . . . electric tops can be a nightmare. They can twist & jam. General top & rear window condition is important. Stitching on the rear window zipper can let go. The side window seals tend to leak at the front & the large one at the rear of the window disintegrates with time.

They'll leak oil.

Pretty much all of 'em.

If you find one that doesn't, buy it immediately (or check the sump to make sure it's not out of oil completely).

Yes, many do, but my '84 Carrera with 92k on the clock is bone dry. Doesn't drip a drop. If they are in good repair, they should be very dry motors.
