Oil Line Query

Oil Line Query
I am the proud owner of a 1980 Weissach 911sc. Purchased it last year but didn't have much time to tinker until recently. I have noticed a small oil leek in the line coming off the oil tank that meets with the hard oil line. I'm wondering if the line on my car is factory or if someone has modified this setup? Anyone have any advise on where to purchase this line & how to confirm the factory set up.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new Porsche. I'm in the process of replacing some oil lines on my 86 and there may be a difference in the two cars. At the bottom of my tank there is a line that runs to the engine oil cooler, it's called the "s" line. In my car there is another line that runs from the tank to the thermostat in front of the right rear tire. The Pelican forum is also an outstanding place for information from owners like yourself. A valuable book that is worth investmenting in is Porsche 911 SC Service Manual, by Bentley Publishing, 911 SC (1978-83), you'll also find it at Pelican. Have fun with your car...enjoy the ride!
