7:31 Ring and Pinion Mod on 3.0 SC
Does anyone out there have this mod to a 3.0SC? ( swap 8:31 to 7:31) I want to know how much your gas mileage suffers? I know with a 29:21 5th gear highway rpms should be about the same as a stock SC.....Any help or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

R&P swap
I had the R&P swapped on my 82 sc. I honestly have never kept track of my mileage. I also had the taller fourth and fifth gears installed so I'm only 10% shorter in fifth as opposed to 14% shorter with stock fifth. I track my car and run the Air/Fuel rich and have not measured mpg. It is quicker especially in the last couple gears.
