911 SC Wiring question
OK.. I can't seem to find this in my tech manuals - Anyone know of a wire under the dash of a 1980 911 SC that is ALWAYS hot (and maybe easy to get to?) I'm trying to do some wireing for a cell phone mount, and I thought that the yellow wire ot the radio was always hot, but evidently not.
HELP?
Thanks!

Chuck,
I'm looking at the 1978 911SC wiring diagram (the next one in the factory manual is 1981). It shows two red wires going directly from the battery to the ignition switch. Another red battery direct line feeds the fuse box, another feeds the relay for the fuel pump in the fuse box, another red battert direct line feeds the headlight switch. Basically, anything you can turn on with the key not in the ignition, like headlamps or horn, is getting battery direct juice.

Hello
You can go on the red cable from the light switch. Dont cut or use insplicer and don´t hang any more the 2 Ampere on that. If you pull to much power your light will dimm or if you short that your light will go out in a milisecound.
Best is to run a seperate wireloom to the fusebox.
