Post High Idle???

Hello,
I replaced the accumulator and fuel filter a few weeks ago on my 82' 911SC. It fixed the problems associated with a bad accumulator but a new problem arose.
Now the idle is all screwed up, before with the bad accumulator the idle came up when cold and was pegged at 1000rmp when warm. Now with the same position of the idle screw and mixture screw the car runs rough and stalls when cold unless I keep my foot on the gas. I now have it adjusted to 1300rpm when warm with A/C on and it runs well but still coughs a little when first started (idle jumps to 1600rpm, then immediately drops to 300-400 for a couple of seconds and then 1400 or so until warm).
Every now and then when warm the idle will drop back to 1000rpm and she runs great.
Any ideas what I should be troubleshooting or trying to fix next?
Thanks in Advance!

it might be a problem with your warm up regulator?

My car did the same thing, I tinkered with the idle screw and it seemed to work as far as the car rpms jumping up and down upon cold startups. After though, the idle would sometimes stay at 2000 when idling. One day car backfired, and died and wasn't getting spark. I changed the ignition coil and the cars been running great ever since. Coincidence maybe. Come to find out I blocked the wrong hole on the auxillary air valve which I believe caused the backfire.
