Default Coupe headliner

My headliner is starting to crack. Is there a decent aftermarket version or is OEM the only recommendation?

Corral...: I had a professional Porsche interior specialist do mine. Obviously I love doing my own work, but when you have to remove the windows, etc., to do the job I opted for the pro. Mine was hand sewn on site and it turned out every bit as nice as the original. Bit the bullet and bought new sun visors at the same time!

I did a very decent job at a cost of many hours.

It was do one section of the fit and give it 24hrs to set up. Then in between it became a "as long as you're in there" thing. New '88 style front antenna glass. Nice '88 visors. Nicer than mine '88 seat belts. New roof cables led to the '88 one piece air deflector and rails. [It's quieter imo] I got the inside info on setting that up as the roof inner tin is different than mine. That causes deflector trailing arm problems when trying to lower the deflector..

For some reason I can't post a pic here otherwise I'd post pics of the roof mod accomidation for the '88 air deflector.

it's no wham bang job imo.

Starting to sound like some strategically-placed pieces of duct tape may be the easier/cheaper solution for the moment. (Is someone playing "dueling banjos"?)

I replaced my own headliner. I saved about $3-400 in the process. it took me an additional 2 months because I replaced the dash, back-dated the rear 1/4 windows and repaired the sunroof while I was at it.
I wish I had paid the $$ for a pro to do the job due to the down time and nag-factor (this is the amount of complaining that I received from my wife during the project).

I've always had them done by the pros.

After watching them do the job, I'm glad I've paid to have it done.

It's not worth the mess and time, and risk of broken glass.
